Audrey Hepburn (born Audrey Kathleen Ruston; 4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993) was a British actress and humanitarian. Born in Ixelles, Belgium, Hepburn spent her childhood chiefly in the Netherlands, including German-occupied Arnhem during the Second World War. In Arnhem, she studied ballet before moving to London in 1948 where she continued to train in ballet while working as a photographer's model.
Audrey Hepburn was a beautiful and elegant woman inside and out. She devoted the last years of her life to help others and she did it with poise and grace. I admire her not only as an actress but also as a humanitarian, for she went beyond her profession to extend her hands to others.
I will always remember you, Audrey Hepburn, a classic legend, a fashion icon and a warm-hearted humanitarian.
